It's definitely a mood piece.

Re: SOME FAVORITES FROM VAIL

I spoke too soon. It loaded up OK and then the mustardy brown invaded the
left side and the text went unreadable gray. Only the header is Black on
white. I'll have to call the doctor.

Re: SOME FAVORITES FROM VAIL

Now it seems to be black on white with brown on the right side. Firefox
3.5. My computer must have had a cold or something.

Re: SOME FAVORITES FROM VAIL

Hi Sandero -- I didn't change anything on my blog and when I checked it using Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer browsers it was still black text on white background. Is it still doing it on your computer? What browser are you using?

Re: SOME FAVORITES FROM VAIL

Is my computer whacked out or is the text now light gray on a brown background?

I can't read anything and I love to read your commentaries Tonya.

Loved the vids!

Re: SOME FAVORITES FROM VAIL

Awesome! I so like the "skinny white girl learning latin"

Welcome to my world! I love BALLROOM - BALLROOM DANCE ROCKS!

Re: SOME FAVORITES FROM VAIL

ok, LOVE!! Thanks so much for posting this, Tonya! This is awesome, and it's great for Vail to post these as well. Man, it really DOES make me want to attend, a plane trip seems worth it! It's great advertising. I haven't gone through all of these yet, so I might post more comments after I see more. :)

Sofiane and Simon Ball is the cast I saw do the full performance of "in the middle" earlier this year with SF Ballet (Ball was guesting). It's hard to tell from the video, but he is one of the biggest guys I've ever seen onstage - he is a hulk of a man. It's also nice to see NYCB (er, Ulbricht) do repertory not normally seen with NYCB. It's interesting that it looks a bit different on him, but nonetheless impressive and incredibly fresh. I've also got to check out Tiler Peck doing Afternoon of a Faun!

Re: SOME FAVORITES FROM VAIL

Yes, I did Anne! I would have posted it too but felt like I was posting so much already :) How tantalizing is Tiler with those legs! Those spidery developpes! I love her. And Robert's so cute -- he kind of looks like he just got out of bed there :) I would love to see him dance that full-out -- and the best parts for the man are at the beginning, which we don't see here. I would so love to have seen them dance that. Maybe some time they'll be cast together in it at City Ballet! And I think that's Damian in the background by the piano, right?

Re: SOME FAVORITES FROM VAIL

Wow!

Did you get to watch this one yet? :
"Tiler Peck and Robert Fairchild rehearsing AFTERNOON OF A FAUN by Jerome Robbins for International Evenings of Dance at the Vail International Dance Festival."

http://www.youtube.com/watc...

(one of my absolute favorite pieces.)
