I'm excited to hear what you think of them!

Re: MET MY FAVORITE TROCK, JOSHUA GRANT, LAST NIGHT

You're totally right Susan, how some of them really look like women -- especially the smaller ones!

Re: MET MY FAVORITE TROCK, JOSHUA GRANT, LAST NIGHT

I know, that was really cool how the dancers hung out in the lounge. I don't remember that so much from previous years. I loved Dendy too -- will write about it soon! Thanks again, Michael, for making me meet Joshua :)

Re: MET MY FAVORITE TROCK, JOSHUA GRANT, LAST NIGHT

ooh, I'm going to see the Trocks this year - I can't wait! I'm finally going to be able to see them in person. I love how it's not just camp, but a dose of historical accuracy and parody, which the smart audience (such as myself, of course! ;) appreciates.

Just a random thought - Mark Morris should choreograph for this group!

Re: MET MY FAVORITE TROCK, JOSHUA GRANT, LAST NIGHT

I love the Trocks!
Go For Barocco is such a delightful, masterful parody of Concerto Barocco that it never grows old.
What I find funny and amazing about the Trocks is that you could swear at times that you were watching women ballerinas! These men are so talented and gorgeous!

Re: MET MY FAVORITE TROCK, JOSHUA GRANT, LAST NIGHT

Yeah, I don't know if he looked smaller as much as less big, but that was really cool. To me, the best thing about Fall for Dance was the variety. I went to Program III to see Basil Twist and wound up loving the Monica Bill Barnes piece and being totally floored by the Trocks. I went to Program IV to see NYCB and was blind-sided by Dendy's Faunes. Amazing stuff.

And it was super cool that the dancers were hanging out and so friendly. Hooray, Joshua Grant! Hooray, Parisa Khobdeh! Hooray, random capoeira dude!

Re: MET MY FAVORITE TROCK, JOSHUA GRANT, LAST NIGHT

He WAS super nice!
